We have two Youth Groups: one for Middle School (grades 6th to 8th) and one for High School (9th to 12th grades). The High School group meets twice a month, and the Middle School Group meets once a month. This ministry provides an opportunity for youth to discover their faith in a safe and enthusiastic environment. They are encouraged to ask questions, actively listen and develop a mutual respect for each other and those around them. Once a year they are invited to attend a mission trip through the Sierra Service Project. They visit communities with social and economic needs where they work on community projects and home repairs such as building wheelchair ramps, fences and painting. Youth group met virtually during the pandemic with online activities and conversation, but has now returned to in person meeting. For more information about our youth group, please contact us.
Our youth go on a mission trip each summer.
Our first trip with Sierra Service Project was in 2008 to Walker River, Nevada. We have travelled to Mc Dermitt, Nevada; Fort Hall, Idaho; Smith River, California (x2); Chiloquin, Oregon (x3); South Central Los Angeles, California; Wellpinit, Washington; Imperial Beach, California; and this year we are headed to Tsaile, Arizona to serve on the Navajo Nation. Nearly 9,000 miles of travel and counting.
