Serving our wider community is an important way we live out our Christian faith. At St. Mary’s, there is something for everyone to contribute to make our world a better place.
Our church is actively involved in reaching out to our community and building relationships with organizations and folks doing good work, and helping support positive change in our community. We are a member of the Napa Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD). We enjoy partnering with other churches, faith communities, and non-profits on projects and programs that help our community. If you are interested in becoming involved in this or any of our outreach ministries contact us!
Following Christ Together
During the pandemic we began a friendship with a few churches in different parts of the world, which has grown. We have met online together for Bible study over Zoom, held webinars, and led worship services together. It has deepened our sense of connection to siblings in Christ around the world, and we look forward to continuing to grow in prayer and fellowship. Our friends are from Epping Team Ministry in London, St. Luke’s in Rio de Janeiro, and the Diocese of Jerusalem. Click here to watch a webinar which launched our partnership.
Kairos is a lay-led Christian ministry which conducts a structured weekend program at San Quentin State Prison. The program allows participants to witness Christ’s love through the service of volunteers. The participants are given the opportunity to experience a spiritual renewal while accepting God’s call to a life of Christian witness and service.
Friends of St. Mary’s Music
This is a newly formed group that raises money to support and diversify our music program. They also host special music offerings which are open to the wider Napa community and support our music ministry! Friends of St. Mary’s Music helped launch a partnership with the Napa Valley Chamber Orchestra, who practice at our church, and lead special music offerings during our services occasionally.
Napa Valley Food Bank
St. Mary’s regularly donates food for the Napa Food Bank to support hungry families in our community. We always accept donations of non-perishable food in the food barrel in the back of the church. If you’d like to learn more about this ministry, please contact us.
Members of St. Mary’s serve as board members or volunteers at the Napa Salvation Army, whether it’s the Turkey Roundup, Kettle Bell Ringing, Christmas Food & Toy Distribution, Shop with the Cops or staffing the Mobile Canteen when a Disaster occurs. The Salvation Army provides assistance to Napa County residents in need. For more information about how to get involved, please contact us.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Shoebox Ministry It all starts with a shoebox gift, packed in Jesus’ Name and full of love and prayer and sent to children around the world. For more information about how to get involved, please contact us.
