Education For Ministry (EFM)
The seminar group is the nucleus of the EFM program. A group of six to twelve participants and a trained mentor meet weekly over the course of a nine-month academic year. Through study, prayer, and reflection, EFM groups move toward a new understanding of the fullness of God's kingdom.
Participants are given weekly assignments to study with the help of resource guides. Through discussion and guided reflection, the seminars furnish an opportunity to deepen understanding of the reading materials.
By examining their own beliefs and their relationship to our culture and the tradition of our Christian faith, participants can learn what it means to be effective ministers in the world and come In coming to terms with the notion that everything we do has potential for manifesting the love of Christ, we discover that our ministry is at hand wherever we turn.

Youth Group
The youth at St. Mary’s (grades 9-12) gather on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Through the use of playful and serious activities such as Bible study and prayer, our youth discover that personhood is a free gift of God. Through various outreach activities, our youth also discover what it means to live a life of compassion and mercy. During the year, the group plans a summer mission trip and participates in a 30-hour famine as a fundraiser to benefit The World Vision Organization.
